Ethical Films - Concept.

Consider the following:

“Film and TV and video are hugely influential in the lives of young people. 30 years ago Spencer Tracy, Pat O' Brien and others frequently played the role of the good in films which starred James Cagney or Humphrey Bogart as the broken rebellious anti-hero.  “Angels with Dirty Faces” and “Inn of the Sixth Happiness”

To develop the film projects, I have already raised money from Europe through the European commission media fund, and the Welsh Arts Council. Normally one would go to conventional media investors, but as we know Christian heroines and heroes are discriminated against, mocked and abused as contemporary cinema characters. All we see is the paedophile priest and the naked nun but never the good aid worker or the simple woman of virtue who of course live extremely dramatic lives.  All faiths have an evil in their past but in rejecting god because of the sins of those who have used religion to exert egotistic power is foolish.

In the last 40 years, Hollywood has killed the Christian, ethical hero and heroine.  I am attempting to change that and naturally hedonistic Hollywood won’t help me.

I think it is up to you to help me. And why not?.

I live in Wales, and if every Christian in Wales agreed to buy one video/dvd for £12 each year for 3 years.

This production company and distribution library would be up and running. Wales has a population of fewer than 3 million. Just consider the world wide implications of this idea.

The mission therefore is to create a library of ethical film for distribution not only for those families who value what their families see but also for the young people of the world who love film and its powers in story telling. And for those many people of faith who need their batteries re-charged.

And why not?
